Hi, I’m Catie! My journey into music therapy began in 2019 when I first heard of music therapy. I returned to school and earned my Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from Appalachian State University in 2022. After completing my internship at a medical hospital in Phoenix, AZ, I headed back to Boone, NC, where I passed my Music Therapy Board Exam and continued my education.
In 2025, I completed my Master of Music Therapy degree at Appalachian State. During my graduate studies, I completed the Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT) training, supervised undergraduate students, taught practicum courses, and worked with clients in both school and clinical settings.
Since graduating, I’ve relocated to beautiful New Hampshire, where I’m enjoying the Northeast with my dog, Darcy. When I’m not practicing music therapy, I like to go hiking, cook, read (usually suspense/thriller), spend time with my nephew (proud auntie here!), or try a new hobby: which currently is learning to knit.

AAs a music therapist, it is my passion and ethical obligation to provide a safe space for all clients to have the opportunity for autonomy and expression. I am passionate about being a witness to my clients' experiences and find great joy in supporting who they are and their interests. I practice from a person-centered approach while using techniques from Neurologic Music Therapy and ideas from Carolyn Kenny's Field of Play. It is a privilege and honor to share music in a therapeutic space in collaboration with both my clients and their support system.
